RJ thought he needed to have a picture of Drew and the ducky (?????????????)

At the end of the night, I was ready to go dancing and RJ was trying harder to throw the ball the fastest then to actually hit the pins...

Heidi, Sandra and I taking a break from bowling - socializing is way more fun!

We had a fun Saturday night bowling with my friends from work for Junior Achievement.

It was really cold out today so we got to wear sweat pants. We went for a nice walk around the neighborhood and then played on the floor while RJ made dinner. Our favorite toy so far has been this plastic spatula!!

We had an exciting weekend. RJ and I were in a golf tournament at work. I have been taking lessons and practicing, but of course - I SUCKED! It was awful, and it was SO HOT! But because our team as a whole was awesome, we came in second and we won gift certificates to the pro shop at the golf course - woopee! So I got a new pair of golf shoes.

Since we had to be down in Merritt Island at 8:00am, Drew slept over at my parents house! His first night away from home! We took him to my parent's house around 8:00pm and stayed with him to puthim to bed, then we stayed about an hour so we could make sure he didn't wake up. Evidently he slept through the night and all the way until 8:00am! Longer than he sleeps at home, so he must have been sleeping good!

Here is Bailey sucking up the opportunity to be the baby of the family again while Drew is napping!

RJ and Drew being silly!

We had to get Drew's picture in his Toronto Maple Leaf outfit before he completely outgrows it! He needs to start wearing 12M pajamas and he is almost ready to move up to 9-12M clothes! He already wears a size 3 shoe!

Drew turned 6 months old on October 3!! He is getting SO BIG! His second tooth is breaking through his gums so he is awfully slobbery lately.

Here is yet another picture of RJ and Drew taking a nap. They seem to be good at that - MUST BE NICE!!

I really do have a ton of pictures to post, I just haven't had time to get the off of my camera - because I forget to stick the memory card in there - anyways, here are a couple new pictures to get you started. Drew has been sleeping on his belly lately, scaring me to death because he sleeps with his face right into the bed. I'm sure I will get used to it, at least he is sleeping without his swaddle! Also, we took a "4 generation" picture that my grandma has been bugging us to take. Out of about 10 pictures, this is the best one and Drew is not looking at the camera. WE'll have to do it again, I look like poop - we had just gotten back from playing golf and I had sweaty hair and Drew had just puked his carrots up all over his clothes. Oh well...

Just wanted to throuw in a note that Drew slept until 8:30 and RJ slept until almost noon and this is now 2:00 in the afternoon and they are both out. Must be nice!!

RJ was being silly while I was trying to get a picture of Drew's new tooth. he looks kind of cute as a bunny!

Guess what we woke up to this morning? A TOOTH!! We knew Drew has been teething but never expected to actually see it so soon! This was our attempt to take a picture of the new addition to Drew's mouth, but it didn't work out.

Since Drew can sit up he loves his new bath time seat. He plays with the bubbles and all his toys. Well playing with is more like attempting to put all the toys in his mouth.

The little man is getting SO big! He can sit up on his own now...

Monday we had the family over for some BBQ chicken. Before RJ's parents left I snapped a picture and am impressed at how good it turned out - everyone is looking at the camera AND smiling - including Drew!!

Drew turned 5 months oldon Sunday!! He was very excited.

We spent the day laying around and then went next door to the Chris & Jen's for a cook-out. They had a ton of food and we played a game and watched Big Brother. Drew attempted to stay up and participate, but he got too tired so we had to go home early.

Here is RJ and Drew dressed up alike to go to a cook-out.

We had to take Drew to the Dermatologist yesterday to have the scar checked out. Come to find out it is a birth defect and genetic. We can't think of anyone that we have ever seen a scar like that on either side of our family, so we are stumped.

It is called Aplasia Cutis Congenita http://www.dermnetnz.org/lesions/aplasia-cutis.html from the pictures I have seen on the internet, it could have been a lot worse. Basically it is a scar that will never grow hair and will continue to get larger as his head gets bigger: Aplasia Cutis Congenita is a rare disorder with a complicated pattern of inheritance. Babies are born with the absence of certain layer(s) of skin, most often on the scalp, but also on the trunk, and/or arms and legs. The affected area is typically covered with a thin, transparent membrane. The skull and/or underlying areas may be visible and be abnormally developed. Aplasia Cutis Congenita may be the primary disorder or it may occur in association with other underlying disorders.

So I am pretty freaked out about it. The doc said that it is just the skin and there didn't appear to be any skull abnormalities by touch, but if the scar ever bubbles up like a mushroom he will have to cut part of it out and do a biopsy. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about it!!

I realized that it has been a week and thought I should update, although nothing new is going on. Drew is up to sweet potatoes on his veggie list. Only squash to go and he has conquered them all and we can move to fruits.

Last week for my birthday we had a yummy dinner at Norwoods. Then since Friday was my boss's birthday, we celebrated together and a ton of people from work went out to the tiki bar in Port Canaveral, it was a lot of fun. RJ got to sleep in, although we had been out for MY birthday celebration, I got up with Drew. Sunday RJ took me shopping for my birthday and then we stopped over at Keith's for a nice dinner. This week has been exhausting, Drew has decided he wants to get up and eat at 3:45am instead of waiting for me to wake him at 5:00am. So my days have been a little longer. I am going to get him to sleep without having to be swaddled, so I'm sure I won't be sleeping much. Tomorrow (Saturday) is RJ and my anniversary, six whole years - no big plans, probably just dinner out alone.

So there's my update!!

Me and Drew hanging out before bathtime...

Drew ate green beans for the first time for dinner! It didn't even phase him, he was getting frustrated because RJ and I wanted to take pictures of him eating his first real food (other than cereal) and he just wanted to eat.

I promised Drew that I would stop the daily play-by-play pictures but this was too cute with his monkey shirt on. He is a little monkey!!

Drew had his 4 month doctor's appointment yesterday! He weighs 19lbs and is 27 inches long! He is off the growth charts!! Dr. Garcia said to start feeding him veggies, fruits and we can give him some water!! He'll love it. We also have to move him up to a big boy car seat because the baby carrier only goes to 22lbs! He did really good with his shots, the first one he kind of looked at the nurse like what the heck did you do that for. Then the second one he screamed and turned bright red and he was still screaming during the third shot and RJ immediately picked him up and he stopped crying and that was the end of it, like it never happened. He is such a good boy.

We have to go to a pediatric dermaologist about the "bald spot" on his head from the scar. We finally found a dermatologist in Winter Park that will take a look at it. We go at the end of the month.

Other than that nothing is new. I started a new class at Webster towards my MBA. Of course, now I am trying to figure out how I thought I would have time to do it.!!

Another big milestone - Drew is holding his body up real good and he would do anything to be able to sit up...

Drew is 4 months old!!

This is Drew showing us that he can roll over from back to front now. He loves doing it - as soon as you flip him onto his back he rolls back over onto his belly.

Drew is eating cereal from a bowl and doing really well with it. He opens up big on his own and wants more even after he is done with his 4 ounce portion. He actually seems to like the cereal. I think he is ready for some veggies, but I'm going to wait until we go to the doctor next week. He's always been a good eater so far, I'm sure he'll do fine with it.

Here are a couple pictures from our vacation to the mountains. It was a very unrelaxing vacation - just go-go-go the whole time. We left on Wednesday and got to North Carolina around midnight. Thursday morning we got up first thing and met the family for a boat ride around the lake - RJ went fishing. Jen and Dan's campground has this "rock garden" for 4x4 to practice, so RJ decided he wanted to take his hummer over to it. Friday we went whitewater rafting down the ocoee river. It was fun, we've been on that river before though. On Saturday we spent the day golfing and let me tell you, golfing on a moutain is a bit challenging. Sunday we headed home. Drew was really good in the car. He slept most of the time.

This is Drew's new friend - we call him Lamby. He is so soft and Drew won't let go of him...
