Drew turned 8 weeks old yesterday (Monday) so here is a brief recap of his first 2 months of life, sorry it is going to be long...
Andrew James Dyett was born on Monday April 3, 2006 at 8:02pm at the Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial. He was born on his due date and like my entire pregnancy, everything was very text book (normal). Although his weight of 9 lbs 5 ounces and 22 inches was a little unexpected and painful, he was a beautful healthy baby. We stayed in the hospital for 48 hours and came home Wednesday night. RJ had a baseball game that night, so Drew and I waited in the hospital until RJ was done and we got home about 11:30.
RJ has been umpiring some minor league baseball this year. Thursday, April 6 RJ umpired the home opener game for the Daytona Cubs. My dad, Drew and I attended the game. We wouldn't have missed it!! Drew, being three days old slept through it, but at least we were there!!
At the end of April, We packed the truck up with pretty much the entire hous and headed to Clearwater for vacation. Our family from Canada came down for Deke's wedding. We shared a house with Dan, Robin, Brooke, Payton & RuthAnn, Tom & Danalyn and Bernie & Lana. The house was across the street from the beach, it was relaxing with crystal clear water and white sandy beach. Drew did really great on his first vacation and he got spoiled by everyone.
At Drew's first doctor's appointment, he had regained his birth weight already! At his one month check up, he weighed in at 11 pounds 14 ounces and was 23 1/4 inches long!! His next appointment is June 13th and he will be getting his shots!
I am back to work now and it is going ok. I have an awesome babysitter, which made it easier to leave him. I learn something new from her everyday. Drew seems to like it there, because he has been sleeping better and eating better since he started staying with her. Getting into a normal routine may be helping also!
Drew is a good baby and RJ is a great daddy. We have been having a lot of fun as a family and looking forward to all the fun times ahead. Keep checking back and I promise to keep everyone updated on our progress!! Here are a few starter pictures from our first month...
