Friday night RJ decided he wanted to take Drew and I to the home run derby at Jackie Robinson stadium in Daytona. Actually RJ just wanted to go and since my parents have been on a cruise, we had Drew for the evening. I was a little nervous about taking him, but he was great the whole time. He got a little squirmy so I took him down to the little play area for a few minutes and it must have been satisfactory because we went back up in the stands and just sat in his dad's lap and hung out. Here we are going in... This is Drew showing the ticket guy how big he is...
This is before we left the house, Drew and I are ready to go as usual and RJ is taking FOREVER!

MOVING ON UP...

Well, if there is anyone who has not heard yet, we are selling our house - or attempting to sell. I know the market is horrible right now, but if you know ANYONE who might be interested, point them in our direction. After careful thought, sleepless nights, and endless discussions, we have decided to move into RJ's parents house - with Lorne - and remodel it. RJ and I did some investigation and buying a house with an "in-law" suite would be twice as much, or more, as our remodel project will be - or so we hope! Plus his parents house already has a pool, it's on 2.75 acres and in a good location in New Smyrna Beach. Drew will have lots of land to grow up on and we can keep a close eye on RJ's dad, who is still a complete mess. We are in the beginning stages, we have a designer, we think we have a General Contractor that we want to use, now we just need to sell our house so we can pay all these people! We are actually kind of excited about it. We'll keep everyone posted through the blog...

Tonia & her brother Jeremy...
Tonia and her new husband Brian...

Just thought I'd take a minute to post a picture from Tonia's wedding. Tonia and her brother Jeremy were my college roommates at UCF. She got married May4 and was a beautiful bride.

For our Memorial Day - day off, we were thinking about going out on the boat but decided to head to the beach instead. We got down there pretty early and beat the crowd. It was an awesome day out. Drew ran for TWO hours non-stop!

We had every intention of going out on the boat today. However, after drinking beer at "Fish Stock" and then going out to dinner and drinking martinis, I was not feeling well today, not well at all. So we did finally get over to my parents to pick the boat up around 12:00, but we never actually left - but the thought was there. We heard it was pretty rough out anyways, we'll try again tomorrow or maybe just head to the beach in the morning, it imght be less effort and less stressful. RJ took Drew for a ride on the four-wheeler while I took a nap.
And this Drew trying on mom's cool shades...

Saturday we went down to the river to watch the weigh-in at the big fishing tournament downtown. This is Drew in his new stoller that I got for Mother's Day. It is actually really nice - and airy - so his poor little butt doesn't sweat so much in this Florida heat. And it folds up a lot smaller than my regular stoller, so now I can go shopping and actually put the bags in the trunk of my car with the stoller!! Aw - the things that make me happy these days...

If there is any indication in this picture of how much Drew LOVES taking a bath... He was so excited that he jumped in the bathtub - on his own - in his clothes and diaper. I walked out of the bathrrom to get his pajamas and clean diaper ready, and RJ couldn't catch up to him in time to stop him (he ran from the living room). RJ and I were laughing so hard at him that we evidently hurt his feelings, so he is a little upset in this picture.

We had an interesting weekend. Details about that to follow in the weeks to come. We did go to the beach fo about an hour today. It was beautiful out. Drew loves to run into the waves - that is why we only stay an hour - he wears RJ and I out running around.

Well, I finally found my camera, plus I had borrowed my mom's camera. So be prepared to scroll down and do a lot of catching up...

Happy Mother's Day to me

Well Mother's Day started out pretty rough since RJ decided to drink too much Saturday night at the Cubs (baseball) game we went to. I was craving french toast SO bad, I thought for sure I would get breakfast in bed. He did offer to take me to Denny's, however by the time he got motivated I ended up with Krispy Kream donuts from the Exxon (gas) station! Sounds special right?! We did make a stop at the cemetery to bring Carole fresh flowers. The plaque for the grave finally arrived and turned out awesome. We spent the rest of the day at my parents' house, RJ did manage to make me and my mom strawberry daquiris while we played in the pool with Drew. My dad grilled hamburgers and it ended up being a nice, relaxing day. I got lots of love and kisses before bedtime to top it all off!

A day at the beach

We decided to take Drew to the beach saturday as part of my Mother's Day weekend. He loves running around, he loves sand, and he loves water - so what better place is there! Plus I get to work on my tan (although that is not what ended up happening) and we all get fresh air!

It was pretty rough out, but Drew loved to be knocked down by the waves.

A day at the park

We decided to head to the park one afternoon. Drew loves to slide. He is getting a lot more independent going up the stairs to get to the top of the slide now also. He even tried one of the big kid tunnel slides.

Well, I know why they call them "teeny weeny bikinis" - you have to have a tiny weeny to fit in it! This is Drew while we are waiting for one of his swim lessons to begin. These are a couple pictures from my camera - that I finally found!!

Drew "graduated" from swim lessons by "falling" into the pool and doing his "float" with his clothes and shoes on. Now we can feel better about him darting to the pool everytime he walks into my parents' back patio.

Swim Lessons

This is the "float" and he kicks himself over to the side of the pool.

I know I should not be keeping track anymore, but here is Drew on his 13 month birthday. He is ALL over the place! Non-stop! Go Go Go!

Saturday RJ and I golfed in my company's golf tournament. I sucked, as usual.
And here we are as the WINNERS!
