RJ got to relax and hang out with Drew on his birthday. My dad arranged for him to have some oysters to eat. He and Justin ate almost a bushell in about 2 hours! I had pizza.

Here are a couple pictures from Christmas. I need to get the pictures from my mom's camera also. He looked so cute Christmas Eve in his little suit. We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's house with all the family over for dinner and our "thieves" Christmas gift exchange. Christmas Day I had to cook. It actually turned out pretty yummy! Of course my mom already had the turkey stuffed and ready in the roaster and all I had to do was stick it in the oven. I was supposed to open it up and let it brown, which I forgot to do, but after it is all cut up no one knows what color it is! We had 12 people for Christmas dinner and everything worked out perfectly!!
Drew got lots of good stuff from Santa, although Santa forgot to take everything out of the box and have them set up, and forgot batteries. It was a good trial run for next year when he will actually be into the whole Santa thing. RJ got a new laptop, which I am using now. It has wireless internet so we had to breakdown and get roadrunner - I was boycotting paying so much for internet service, but it sure does make a difference (the highspeed vs. dial-up)
OK - OK we've been slacking on the posts - actually we've been really really busy!! On top of the whole Christmas thing was RJ's birthday and Drew has had an ear infection in BOTH ears! Poor little guy. He spent his first Christmas completely doped up between the tylenol, motrin, zyrtec and amoxicillan, we've spent a lot of money at the pharmacy lately. He seems to finally be feeling better, it only took two trips to the doctor to get him diagnosed with something. He had all the signs of an ear infection, however because he is such a good boy he wasn't acting miserable like babies with ear infections normally do. But between Christi (the babysitter) and me we knew something just wasn't right with him. Here he is in his new monkey hat and gloves, on his way to grammy's house Thursday morning (the babysitter has the week off)

Before my Christmas party Saturday (Dec. 9 - I'm a little behind since I'm a single mom this week while RJ was in Canada with his mom) RJ and Drew put up the security locks on the cabinets, well actually RJ did all the work and Drew made a mess out of my tupperware cabinet - but oh well- it kept him busy for over an hour!!

Drew turned 8 months old December 3!!
However we weren't in a real celebration mood. We think he has teeth coming in - the top ones and two of them at the same time! We didn't get any sleep last weekend, and RJ had gone camping with my dad so I was all alone all weekend and by Sunday I was exhausted! We had planned on taking him to the docotr Tuesday and Monday night he just snapped out of it and slept through the night!

We had a nice Thanksgiving out at the Hunting Camp. Lots of good food and lots of people!! Drew got to wear his camo shirt. He ate real mashed potatoes, Turkey and sweet potatoes, corn and banana pudding. Of course, he immediately pooped it all out!! Nice huh?!
My mom and I went shopping on Saturday. I bought some new Christmas decorations for the yard and RJ and I spent Sunday putting them all up. It was nice to have 4 days off!!

The little man now enjoys standing up to play instead of sitting on the floor. He keeps getting more and more independent!! I stayed in the room and watched him when I put him down for his nap Monday night and I watched him make his way over to the railing of the crib and pull himself up to an almost standing position, it was more to his knees, but regardless I made RJ change the position in the crib. Now if he decides to stand all the way up there is no chance he will fall out!

We went to the fair Saturday night with Mike, Kim and Kellen and Valerie. It was fun - it was the fair - I was good and didn't eat any fair food, just a hand full of kettle korn. Kim got a funnel cake and I resisted my temptation! The fair has a ton of kids rides now, it actually is pretty cool. They also have anything fried you could EVER want - friend oreo cookies, twinkies, snickers bars, etc. Drew is still too little to appreciate anything that was going on, but it was a nice night!! It was fun watching Kellan on all the rides, he had a great time!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
We had a fun halloween! We had about 100 kids and went through 7 - yes 7 bags of candy!! Drew was great in his little monkey costume, everyone loved him. He just sat on his blanket and played with his banana and watched all the kids.
