Baby Update
With all the other things going on, we haven't been mentioning the baby much. We had an ultrasound today, we can barely tell what the pictures are showing, so I won't bother scanning them and posting. However, with just about 4 weeks left to go, the baby is measuring 7 lbs. 3 oz., which will put him at about 9 1/2 pounds on his due date. Lucky me, as you can imagine I am totally looking forward to delivering a baby pretty much the size and shape of a 10 lb bag of potatoes. People give birth at full term to babies the size of mine at 36 weeks pregnant! Well, that's my exciting baby news...
House Update
Well, a lot has changed this week! The trusses are up and probably about 1/2 the plywood is up. The exterior wall insulation is up and most of the rooms are framed out.
The little square that RJ & Drew are stepping out of is the laundry room. You can see the pipe stickiing up where the laundry tub will go. My dad is in the dining room.
Drew is in the kitchen and my dad is in the boys bathroom.
Here we are in the living room, our master bedroom behind us.
Looking pretty good.
Now that is a high roof!!

Sunday update
I forgot to post these last Sunday... Here is Drew standing in the "family cafe" in front of what will be my favorite window in the house. The pipes sticking out of the concrete on the right are for the kitchen sink. The room in the far right is Lorne's suite.
A view from the kitchen towads the living room and master suite.
the garage, obviously...
From the back...
RJ and Drew light the pumpkin... The pumpkin has since rotted and been thrown out. Poor pumpkin.

Although I said no shower, Kim and Jodi decided to have a luncheon for me and told everyone to bring diapers. I had a lot of fun having lunch with the girls and it was really nice that they got everyone together.
Joanna, Jodi and Heidi waiting for their yummy Clancy's food...
Kim is taking the picture, but joining Joanna, Jodi and Heidi is Zan, me, mom, Jennifer and Kim...

Don't know why I'm laughing about the diapers, because a big box like that is muchly appreciated!
Now I know I am laughing at this pillow because we haven't decided on a name yet. We were going to pass it to Jodi and have her write in a name so that RJ didn't have a choice anymore!
Too cute!!

A quick trip out to the house this evening shows signs of an eventful day!
This was actually taken from the road, trying to get in the whole house...
The garage taking shape...
From the back it just looks like a big mess of concrete...
The front door and columns to the porch...
A view from the front. Of course Drew found the big pile of white sand and thought it would be fun to throw it around a little...
BTW - Drew is officially 2 1/2 years old today! Can you believe it!! Time flies. But, he's only 39 inches tall and weighing in at 38 pounds, he could be a good match up to a 5 year old!

1st Day of School!!
Today was Drew's first day of "school". He has started Cormeth day school to give Christi and all the girls a couple quiet days during the week. Being the only boy can have its downside some days, so Tuesdays and Thursdays Drew will be going to Cormeth. Drew is in Weston's class so he will have fun playing with him and other boys in the class.
Getting ready to go in...
On Drew's daily report, he was happy, cooperative and friendly. He took a great nap and had fun dancing with Weston! He ate all of his breakfast, lunch and snack. Overall an awesome first day!

They poured the slab today!! Woohoo! Moving right along!! The builder told my dad that they would be delivering the block on Thursday. My dad tried to take more pictures, but the batteries were dead in the camera, so more to come...
Testing the batteries in the camera, here is Drew Drew with Mimi....
